Aftercare Plans are designed to offer convenience for clients seeking ongoing support and maintenance for their hearing aids. Upon purchasing hearing aids, we include this service for 4 monthscompletely free of additional costs.
When people use hearing aids, there will always be on-going costs, such as appointments, part replacements, software adjustments, along with continueing monitoring of hearing. Instead of paying for our services at each appointment, we provide a once-off payment, which covers all costs for everything you'll need to care for your hearing aids for the duration of your plan.
Please note, Aftecare Plans are only required for Private clients, not HSP or DVA.

Why do you charge for on-going support and maintenance costs?
We do not charge for Aftercare support during the first 4 months after purchase, to ensure client's are completely happy with their hearing aid purchase and have no hidden fees.
After this period is over, we charge for Aftercare Plans because we do not build these costs into the prices of our hearing aids. We instead prefer to provide high-quality hearing aids at fair prices, with the option of paying for these extra services when client's require them.
Other providers build this into their hearing aid sale price, by either over-charge for hearing aids (think $9,000 hearing aids), or provide you with low-quality hearing aids and build the extra profit into the costs of your future appointments. Either way, there's always a catch when this is delivered at "no-cost" to clients. We just prefer to be upfront about it!
Do I really need to purchase an Aftercare Plan? Who are they best for?
Aftercare Plans are highly recommended for older clients (those aged over 65), as these clients will generally require more support in management, with more frequent visits to the clinic each year than younger clients. Not all client's are equal in their needs and ability to manage hearing aids - optional Aftercare Plans serves to lower the cost for people who don't need as much assistance as others.
To provide you with a rough guide on whether an Aftercare Plans is the best option for you, we can tell you that those aged over 65 will generally require 3-6 audiology appointments per year, while those aged under 65 will generally require around 1-3 appointments per year. Hearing aid users will also spend appoximately $100-180 in parts and supplies per year in upkeep of hearing aids.
Therefore, if you are a younger client or do not intent on saying in the Albany-Denmark region long-term, an Aftercare plan is probably not required for you.
What services are NOT included in an Aftercare Plan?
Any appointment unrelated to hearing aid aftercare and support. For example, a self-elected appointment for approval to get your drivers licence renewed, or a hearing assessment requested by your doctor or treating specialist, due to new medical condition.
If your hearing aids are lost or damaged beyond repair, there is no full replacement coverage. We always recommend clients take out home and contents insurance on hearing aids.
Ear wax removal services are not included.
Replacement of hearing aid earmoulds (unless due to manufacturer fault).
If I'm a private client and I don't want to purchase an Aftercare Plan, how will I be charged for on-going services?
If you require on-going hearing aid support and care, our services can also be charged per services delivered.
Do I need to purchase an Aftercare Plan if I'm an eligible DVA/HSP client?
No you do not. Our Aftercare Plan service is not available to eligible DVA/HSP client's, as on-going hearing aid support and care for eligible DVA/HSP is billed differently for these clients. Please speak to us if this applies to you.
