Aftercare Plans

Aftercare Plans are designed to offer convenience for clients seeking ongoing support and maintenance for their hearing aids. Upon purchasing hearing aids, we include this service for 3 months completely free of additional costs.

When using hearing aids, there are ongoing costs like appointments, consumable replacements and hearing monitoring. Rather than paying per appointment, we offer a one-time payment, covering all your needs for your hearing aids throughout your plan. 

Aftercare Plans can be purchased as two options

  • Alpha Aftercare Plan - for unlimited clinic and home services

  • Indigo Aftercare Plan - for unlimited clinic services

Our Aftercare Plans are designed to cater for:

  • Older clients who may have higher needs in counselling and support surrounding hearing aid use.

  • Clients who find it challenging to attend in-clinic appointments.

  • Clients who reside in aged-care facilities.

Aftercare Plans: full terms of service


  • Aftercare Plans provide "no cost appointments" for the duration of the plan purchased. "no cost" appointments include any appointment related to hearing monitoring or hearing aid aftercare and support, performed at your home or our clinics (Alpha Plan) or in our clinics only (Indigo). Plans commence from date of hearing aid purchase.

  • There is no limit on the number of appointments that can be booked over a plan period. 

  • Microsuctional removal (once per plan) is also included and can be performed at any time of your choosing over the plan period. 1-year plans include 1 x wax removal, and 2-year plans include 2 x wax removal.

  • Aftercare Plans include a 28-day cooling off period,in which a refund can be provided. After 28 days have passed since purchase, they are strictly non-refundable unless in cases of passing.

  • Under compassionate grounds, in the unfortunate event of passing, if a Plan has been taken out within the last 90 days, regardless of plan type paid for, we will honour an 90% refund on the total price paid.

  • Limited appointments included in the plan:

  • Microsuction removal (1 x 1 year plan, 2 x 2 year plans);

  • Yearly review appointments.

  • Unlimited appointments included in the plan:

  • Drop off cleaning/repair service (24-hour turn-around);

  • Basic hearing aid maintenance appointments;

  • Hearing aid sound adjustment appointments;

  • Tele-health consults (all types).

Unlimited parts/supplies included in the plan include:

  • Hearing aid receivers/speaker replacements;

  • Hearing aid dome replacements;

  • Hearing aid filter replacements.

  • Services not included in the plan include all appointments unrelated to hearing aid aftercare and support or hearing monitoring. For example, a self-elected appointment for approval to get your driver's licence renewed, or a hearing assessment requested by your doctor or treating specialist due to previous unreported medical condition, would not be covered for in the plan. Custom earmould appointments are not included in the plan.

  • Other items not included in the plan:

  • Replacement of hearing aid ear moulds (unless due to manufacturer fault);

  • Hearing aid batteries;

  • Medical reports (when related to wax/fungi removal).

  • Aftercare Plans are only available for Private clients who have purchased hearing aids from our clinic. For HSP/DVA clients, maintenance and appointment costs are covered under the services of the program, and therefore Aftercare Plans are not applicable for these clients.

  • No added insurance coverages for hearing aids under an Aftercare Plan. All privately sold hearing aids come with a 3-4 year manufacturer warranty, excluding user damage. In such cases, our $750 replacement rebate applies. $750 rebate means a discount on replacement hearing aids sold by us. To qualify, devices must be lost or damaged beyond repair. This is determined by us or the manufacturer. If the specific replacement is unavailable, we will provide the discount on an alternative device of your choice. 

  • For Alpha Aftercare plans, home-visit appointments are exclusively available for homes and aged care facilities situated within the specified regions we cover. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions to this policy.

  • We reserve the right to determine the suitability of specific homes and aged care facilities for the delivery of services at homes. Certain residences may not meet the necessary criteria for testing due to reasons related to hygiene, safety, or excessive noise floors. In such cases, we will offer either our Indigo Plan or provide a full refund, per the client's preference.


Why do you charge for hearing aid on-going support and maintenance costs?

  • We do not charge for Aftercare support during the first 3 months after purchase, to ensure clients are completely happy with their hearing aid purchase and have no hidden fees.

  • After this period is over, we charge for Aftercare Plans because we do not build these costs into the prices of our hearing aids. We instead prefer to provide high-quality hearing aids at fair prices, with the option of paying for these extra services when clients require them.

  • Other providers build this into their hearing aid sale price, by either over-charge for hearing aids (think $9,000 hearing aids), or provide you with low-quality hearing aids and build the extra profit into the costs of your future appointments. Either way, there's always a catch when this is delivered at "no-cost" to clients. We just prefer to be upfront about it!
