Jason Currie
Director and Principal Audiologist
Born in Perth and raised in the rural South Island of New Zealand, Jason understands the needs of country people. Specialising in adult hearing rehabilitation, he has over 7 years experience caring for the hearing of West Australians. He completed his postgraduate studies in Clinical Audiology at the University of Western Australia and also holds undergraduate degrees in Medicine and Population Health. He comes from a family background of psychologists and psychiatrists, meaning he is well versed in counselling techniques.
Jason's approach to his clinic is to provide a more personalised experience for his clients, along with excellent aftercare support. He does not believe audiology should just be about selling hearing aids, that's why he also provides ear disease and ear wax management services.
For his hearing assessments, he prioritises taking extra time with clients, utilising an approach that encompasses the person's lifestyle and family dynamics. For this reason, he encourages all new hearing assessment clients to bring family members along to appointments.
Over his career, he has learnt that when it comes to hearing aids, quality and reliability matter. Disheartened with other models, he has chosen to work with only the worlds most trusted manufacturers - ensuring a better experience for all. To date, he has demonstrated this, boasting an impressively low 3.5% return-rate of hearing aids from thousands of people successfully fitted.
