Assistive Listening Devices

At Southern Hearing Excellence, we offer a selection of ALDs with advanced features for seamless TV streaming. These devices enable direct audio transmission to hearing aids or headphones, enhancing your TV experience. They are ideal for watching television, as they deliver a focused audio source without the signal disruptions. When used in conjunction with hearing aids, users can blend the sound of the TV with ambient noises, adjusting the levels to their personal preference. This allows for clear understanding of TV dialogue while still remaining aware of the environment around you. ALDs can be beneficial for everyone, regardless of hearing ability.

Full funding for ALDs is available for eligible pensioners through the Hearing Services Program (HSP) or Department of Vetran Affairs Affairs (DVA). Alternatively, they can be purchased privately. All prices below are inclusive of GST.

Who are they designed for?

Individuals who struggle to follow TV dialogue clearly, yet who are not ready for hearing aid use.
Individuals who wear hearing aids, but still have on-going issues following TV dialogue clearly.
Individuals who like to be able to watch TV within a shared space, without bothering those around them.

All modern TV's (generally less than 12 years old) are compatible with the range of ALDs we sell.

Sennheiser RS 195-U RS

A clear signal up to 100m produces rich sound to satisfy demanding music lovers. The RS 195 transmitter supports both analog and digital audio inputs. Enjoy wandering between rooms while listening to music and TV. The ergonomic design ensures hours of comfortable listening.

This device does not pair to hearing aids.

Oticon TV Adaptor 3.0

The Adaptor 3.0 allows you to enjoy watching TV at your preferred volume, while the rest of the family can keep the volume at a level that suits them. The sound is rich and natural and there are no delays, so the sound matches the visuals on your TV screen.

The TV Connector streams TV and music, transforming your hearing aids into wireless stereo headsets. A simple plug-and-play interface works with TVs and other audio sources to support direct hearing aid connectivity to Infinio, Lumity, Paradise, and Marvel hearing aids.

Enhance your TV experience with the TV Streamer 2, which delivers crystal-clear stereo sound directly to your hearing aids from up to 7 meters away. Option of home installalation

We offer in-home assistance to help you set up your ALD. When purchased with hearing aids Tribe, Excellence, or Aristo, we provide this service completely free of charge.

Return policy of 30 days

If you are not happy with your ALD, you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

2 year warranty period

In case of fault or break down, ALDs are fully covered for 2 years from the date of purchase.
