Hearing aid funding and the Hearing Services Program
Pensioners and veterans
If you hold a Pensioner Concession Card or DVA Veterans Card, you may be entitled to fully subsidised devices through the Hearing Services Program. Should this apply to you, let us know and we will explain the process.

Self-funded retirees
Payment options include self-funding and private health insurance. If your insurance has gold cover, or you have hearing on your policy, you will most likely be entitled to a rebate on your devices.
We work with all the major health funds, including HBF, HCF, Medibank and Defence Health. Typical rebates run from around $800 to $1,400 in total for two devices, depending on your policy.
Split payment plans, 50-50
We provide split payment plans upon request. While aimed at assisting our working clients, this option is accessible to all. You pay 50% of the device cost at your fitting, with the remaining balance paid in 60 days, with no additional fees added.

Assistive listening devices are funded too
Full funding for assistive listening devices is available for eligible pensioners through the Hearing Services Program or the Department of Veterans' Affairs. That includes the TV streaming devices we supply, which start at $379 privately.

Who is eligible for the Hearing Services Program?

Are you a full Hearing Services Program provider?
Yes. We are a full provider for the Hearing Services Program, which means we provide fully subsidised appointments and hearing aids for eligible clients under the program. Unlike our competitors, we do not charge our HSP clients a yearly maintenance fee, so services with us are completely subsidised.
Can I get a rebate through Medicare or a Commonwealth Card if I am not on a pension?
Unfortunately, no. Australia does not provide audiology billing through Medicare or concession cards. However, funding can be provided through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program or DVA for eligible clients.
How much will my private health fund pay towards hearing aids?
If your health fund provides hearing coverage, you may be entitled to a rebate. The amount depends on your specific policy, so speak to your fund first. If you have hearing on your policy, you will likely be entitled to around $800 to $1,400 towards your hearing aids, as a total rebate for two devices.
Most health funds do not cover appointment costs, though some will cover hearing assessments, repairs and reviews.
Is microsuction ear wax removal covered by the Hearing Services Program?
No. Microsuction is always billed privately and is not covered by the Hearing Services Program. It is $119 for one ear or $149 for both.
Are home visits covered by the Hearing Services Program?
Partially, yes. Eligible pensioners under the HSP are entitled to receive home services through the program. However, due to the costs involved we do charge an additional callout fee: $99 for short to medium appointments and $249 for hearing assessments, device fittings and yearly reviews.
